Break out rooms - sending someone back

We recently hosted a global event, some participants were in parts of the world where connections were a problem. Repeatedly we have participants in open break out rooms then lose connection and have to log back in. How can I send them back to the breakout room from the main room while rooms are open? I have been moving their name from one room to another and back to get the invite to pop up for them upon re-entry.... I have to believe there is a better way than bombarding them with invites? Help! I have googled endlessly and no one else has listed this issue or provided insight. TYIA!
