It seems that my PC has everything as required to ba able to use powerpoint as virtual background, but the option is not active (light grey) and it is impossible to click on it...
I do not have idea how to manage it... I saw differtent youtube tutorial, but I cannot find out why the option is grey...

Following. The same problem, and the only suggestion is a Zoom app upgrade. I am already using the most recent released app update (6.3.6). I have been using this feature for classes, so I definitely need a solution ASAP.

We truly value your feedback and want to reassure you that our engineers are actively evaluating the possibility of bringing it back. However, at this moment, we do not have a confirmed timeline for when or if the feature will be reintroduced.

So this feature is no longer available??? It was essential to my virtual language learning courses! Wow! It is the main reason why I purchased the Pro version of this software. If they will not be reintroducing it, I will have to find another platform to use. And I have just invested in the Zoom Scheduler features as well! This is very disappointing!

Dear Zoom Support Team, I am writing to express my disappointment and concern regarding the malfunction of one of Zoom’s key features — the *PowerPoint as Background* option. This feature is extremely important for my presentations and professional work. Unfortunately, it is currently not working as expected, and I have tried all possible troubleshooting steps, including updating Zoom to the latest version and checking my system requirements.
The function is a major reason why I chose Zoom over other platforms. Without this functionality, Zoom no longer serves my primary needs. If this feature is no longer available or not functioning reliably, I regret to inform you that I will not be renewing my Zoom subscription for the upcoming year. I hope this issue can be resolved promptly, or at least clarified, as it directly impacts my decision to continue using Zoom.

You could use one of overlay options, that are available when screen sharing:
This will give you similar effect, since you can share full-screen presentation and place your video on top of it.
Works best with 2 displays connected.

It's absolutely not the same. It is impossible to move your image, rearrange it, change the size! Return the function!

That is not true 😉 You have full control over where is your video overlayed and what size it will have...
Please have a look at example below. You can resize that blue frame and move it around.

It's terrible. It was the best function for recording and conducting lessons. I'm a teacher, and I'm very disappointed that I bought a pro version, and you removed what I actually used.
I've been looking for a solution to the problem for 5 hours after the zoom update. I'm so sorry I updated the program! I shouldn't have done that

So maybe as a temporary fix/workaround would be to downgrade Zoom client to the version that actually still has this feature?
You can refer to my post to get some major versions and if it's not one of those, then we could figure it out which one is the last "working" release 😉

Of course as a result you won't be able to update your Zoom client and it will work only for a limited time, since Zoom has an update/version policy that your app cannot be of lower version than XXXXX.
