Recordings have been successful for two years. For the past three weeks the record button does not function. Anyone with trouble recording a meeting for no apparent reason? I could use a fix

Hello,
My name is Brandon. Thanks for joining the Zoom Community! Local Recordings use your hard drive and if there is a corrupted file in your OS it could be the cause of the recording button not working. I recommend uninstalling using the zoomclean zip file located in the Support article linked
Then go to zoom.us/download and install a fresh version. I also recommend using the Cloud Recording option where you can go into your recording tab afterwards and download the files to your preferred location. That way if you have any issues, the recording is still saved. If cloud recording is enabled on your account. Some Zoom Admins lock this functionality to their users for compliance and regulatory.
I hope that this is helpful to you.
Regards,
Brandon
