iPhone camera showing up sideways to viewers, how can I correct it from the iPhone?

@vistachurch - Make sure you do not have the rotation lock turned on for the iPhone.

rotation lock was not on. What else can I look for?

Camera is not being used in profile mode, only landscape. Could that be the issue?

If the rotation lock is not on, that shouldn't matter. The rotation lock will keep it in profile mode and turn it sideways if you try to go to landscape. If it is not locked, it should just transition between the views.

This happens to me with my new Samsung galaxy s9 ultra tablet. Nothing helps, including changing the settings on the tablet. And I can't get anyone on zoom to help me! In using latest software, reinstalled etc. It only started happening a few weeks ago. Before that it was fine. HELP!!!!
