Zoom lockup after stop share

When in a zoom meeting I can share a screen but when I hit "stop share" zoom locks up and I  get either "wait for the program" or "close the program". Waiting does nothing...so i have to get shut down and reenter. I've played with advanced share settings and nothing seems to fix this problem. Help please...I'm running a three day event and have to share screens this week 😞

I should add that I'm running a Surface Pro 9 that is new. It's 64 bit, 8 gig RAM, Windows 11
