Zoom didn't recognise me as host on screen - no recording or transcription for the meeting!

Hi,

I recently signed up for Zoom, thank God I didn't pay for a full year (yet). Had a first meeting on Zoom with 2 massive issues:

1. I could not record the meeting

2. the transcript didn't work either

Despite signing in as Host, Zoom didn't recognise me as Host on screen and thus prevented me from recording and getting a transcript. VERY handy when you agreed to send the recording to your client.... Had to revert to Quicktime.

Already reported the issue last week but haven't heard anything. Looking for alternatives to Zoom...

How do I get Zoom to recognise me as Host on screen and allow me to record and to get a transcript?
