Zoom crashes after new installations

Hi again

I had problems before with Zoom crashing on my new PC (Samsung Galaxy Book) and I was suggested to install version 5.8.0. And it worked - solved my problem.

Now I have the problem again after updating to Windows 11. I have several other updates on my PC as well. Then I updated Zoom to the latest version 5.8.3 and it crashed. I tried then to reinstall the 5.8.0 version. But it crashed again. So now what to do?

Any suggestions are very welcome 🙂

Hi @noahg

The last I heard was that Zoom is not yet officially supporting Windows 11. The system requirements page still certainly does not list Windows 11.

I have heard many users be able to run Zoom on Windows 11 with no problem, but also numerous cases of users having some trouble of one type or another.

One thing you might try is to ensure you are running the 64-bit version of Zoom - and ensure you do a full uninstall and restart before installing - and make sure to run the installer "As Administrator".
