Can you share a little more about the Camera model, Desktop environment (Windows/Mac, version), and desktop/laptop model?
If you're trying to use both Teams/Skype at the same time as Zoom the camera and Mic will not be available to control.

These is a Laptop, Lenovo ThinkPad T450s, the Windows version is Windows 7 64 bit.  I tried to use "Logitech Webcam 600"

Same issue on an HP desktop with windows 10.  On the desktop the camera works fine when I open it, takes pics and video, but all I get is a black screen even though it says it's on. Screen share worked fine, it was just the camera.
