Hello everyone,
i have a zoom workplace pro subscription and even after turning on the toggle for HD recording, my meetings do not record in HD. After conversion, they are 144p and honestly really bad quality. my Network bandwidth is also very good. So that does not seem to be an issue.
Does anyone know a way around this and can help me with it?

I spoke to support about this and unless you are an enterprise subscriber you can't record HD, they don't offer it. Seems pretty crazy to me. I've opted for Descript which has HD recording now for live sessions. Riverside is also an option.
The problem with both these workarounds is that there is a limit on numbers.
So if you run larger groups then you could record HD for yourself via Descript, but anyone else jumping on camera via the zoom recording will drop in quality.
I would happily pay a little more for HD recording
My suspicion is that Zoom is in a similar place to Skype many years ago, ie. they've grown so big so rapidly that there is probably some fundamental change they would have to make for this to be possible and it just isn't making the cut.
My guess is that more people will start jumping ship when apps like descript and riverside offer HD recording for larger groups at scale.
just my take.
