Slowness Connecting to Meeting

I am trying to troubleshoot an issue for a user that is having issues connecting to meetings

It can take up to two minutes for his connection to the meeting to finish

He says this is recent behavior and is only affecting him within the organization

I tried updating the Zoom client

Removing all appdata and reinstalling

Verified that firewall rules were enabled

He is on a hard wired internet connection

Checked his internet speeds and they are very good

Made sure he did not have any backgrounds enabled

Tried on the zoom website as well, and same slowness is occurring which made me think it was something not related to the application. Kind of at a loss here.
If anyone has some ideas I'd appreciate it!

Hey @RoyFuzion, as I don't have much insight and can't really dig deep into your issue. I'd suggest contacting our Zoom technical support or have an Admin within your Organization open a support ticket upon your behalf.

If you've checked out these articles on Network And Firewall already and didn't help, I'd suggest reaching out to our tech support team.

Hello! I experience the same issue on my personal PC (working from home). It takes about 1-2 minutes to connect. People on the zoom meeting see me as a participant, but they can't hear or see me. And on my side, the zoom app is just frozen on "Connecting...." screen. After the initial delay, the zoom meeting works fine with no issues with audio or video.

I am on a wired connection, my internet is fast, firewall rules are good. I tried the same things as above. Plus tried both 32-bit and 64-bit Zoom clients. Tried different Video and Audio options. Nothing helps.

Just one observation. It is all started after I installed the Windows Zoom App, so I can authenticate into a corporate account. When I had just a browser plug-in, I didn't have that issue. I tried completely uninstalling the Windows Zoom App, but if I try to open the link it doesn't suggest installing the Browser plug-in. It opens the Windows App Store and you can't do anything in there. So I had to install the Windows Zoom App back.

I would appreciate it if you could suggest a way to fix the issue.

Thanks!
