A new problem seems to have come up, possibly due to installing Zoom update 6.6.10 on Windows 11. When clicking a URL meeting link, Zoom says I need the Zoom app, and offers to download the app instead of joining the meeting. I click the download link it shows and it downloads a small Zoom opener. I run that and then it joins the meeting. A session on the Zoom chatbot help said to uninstall and reinstall Zoom. That worked, though I had to reinitialize both Firefox and Edge to accept URL links to Zoom.
After I installed update 6.6.11, the problem came back. This time I simply downloaded and ran the full installer, which solved the problem. After several years of updating Zoom nothing like this ever happened before.
