Photo Issues

I host Photo Competions for our club and have for a long time.    Just recently we noticed on Zoom that on certain mages that have darker backgrounds that the dark colors can look brighter, muddy or washed out, especially where the tonality changes a little.   We have run several tests on this and it is not an issue in the image and all my setttings appear to be fine.    Anyone else having these issues?   Thanks for any replies in advance.

Just exactly what settings did you set? what hardware is being used for graphics card and monitor? Are you using a calibrated IPS monitor? What color profile is being used on the screen captured monitor? what hardware is being used to monitor the other end? What color profile is being used on the viewing monitor? This all affects what is seen - especially the monitor profile in the OS.

Thank you for your reply.    To answer your questions below

>Just exactly what settings did you set?<
Zoom Settings Under Video are:  Optimize quality of the video I send with DeNoise, Optimize Quality of the idea I receive with super resolution, Use hardware for acceleration for receiving video and Use Hardware acceleration for sending video are all turned on .    Optimizing for showing a video clip is turned off as recommended

>what hardware is being used for graphics card and monitor? <
The computer running the monitor is  an Apple Mac Studio M4 Pro.    The graphics card is the stock one for it which is a stock 80 core  M4 Pro Max and the monitor itself is a 27 inch 5k  600 nit Apple Studio display.

>Are you using a calibrated IPS monitor?…. Yes, the Apple Studio display is a IPS monitor and I calibrate it monthly.   It holds the profile settings well as far as brightness etc and never drifts much at all.

>What color profile is being used on the screen captured monitor<    It is the profile created by the Calibrate software  which is just a nickname.   The color profile in the OS which it calibrates it is an Apple preset called (P3-600 Nits)   If it is any help, my brightness settings for calibration are 80 cd as Macs are known to be bright and that is recommended for them by the calibration software company which is Calibrite.

>what hardware is being used to monitor the other end? What color profile is being used on the viewing monitor? <    Don’t really understand the question on that one.    So the above answers are all related to my system and I am the host for bi-monthly Photography club meetings and those who are viewing the images are app.  40 people with their own computers and monitors.   We had no issues with display accuracy of the images  until the last  meeting and I have been hosting those meetings for 4 years.
Thank you again for your reply and look forward to hearing what you may have to say.
