I was recording a session and paused at the end. I forgot I had payed (or stopped) and went to do this again, and it re started, so again I paused. In this process when the file converted it only gave me the 3 second second recording and not the main recording. Im on free zoom, does anyone know how to find the first section of the recording?

Hi @Cora @ralad,

You can use the Zoom web portal to see a list of your local recordings. If the meeting was recorded, it will be located here.

  1. Sign in to the Zoom web portal.
  2. In the navigation menu, click Recordings.
  3. Click the Local Recordings tab.
This will display the meeting topic, meeting ID, date and time, computer name, and file path for the recording.
  4. Click Open: Open the file location of your local recording. Your browser will prompt you to open Zoom so that Zoom can redirect you to the file location.

Let me know if that helps!

Hello! I have same issue but I recorded in the cloud. The recording stopped around 30 minutes (not sure what happened), so we need to start again, but I can find the first recording in my file. Can I still access it and where?

I am on a paid plan. It is a company zoom account.

Welcome to the Zoom Community, @angelroseIf your cloud recording stopped after about 30 minutes, you should still be able to access the first recording in your Zoom account. Cloud recordings are automatically saved to your Zoom cloud storage and can be accessed by logging into the Zoom web portal. Go to the Recordings section to find and download your previous recording. If you do not see it immediately, it may still be processing; refresh the page or check back later.
