Other Users cannot join my Personal Meeting Room

I have the Professional paid-for version of Zoom (I think 6.5.9) and my own regular meeting room ID and passcode.  A few weeks ago I followed the prompt and upgraded the Zoom on my main personal computer to the latest version.  Ever since then, other users cannot join my personal meeting room.  They get a message saying "Waiting for the host to start the meeting."

My secondary laptop has an older version of Zoom, 6.3.11, and on it I CAN host meetings as normal.  It prompts me to upgrade to Version 6.5.9, which I will not do until I sort out the problem on my main computer.

Both my main computer and my laptop run Windows 10 Professional.

  • I have the problem where my waiting room and notification of people waiting disappeared in the middle of my meeting and I couldn't admit them. Zoom really needs to get "back to basics" and fix these issues!

I think that I have solved the problem.  When Zoom did the update, it disrupted my room settings so that I temporarily lost my own permanent room ID.  So whenever I started "my" meeting, the meeting ID was random instead of my own.  So now when I click the Orange "New Meeting" icon, I ensure that I tick the second box underneath saying "Use my Personal Meeting ID".
