No video filters on Mac

Hello there,

I'm on the Mac, and I'm running the very latest version of Zoom.

When I got into my Zoom settings, and I click on "Background & Effects", I have no filter options.

I only have the ability to set virtual backgrounds, but I have no ability to set filters.

I am the Admin of this account, and video filters are enabled in my account.

Does anybody know why I am missing the filters?

Thank you!

Scott

Scott,

I have the same problem and have not been able to get an answer for this. I don't have any place where filters is even mentioned or an option anywhere in my zoom account.

I also have the same issue. Looking forward to hearing a reply from Zoom. I'm running Version: 6.0.2 (33403) on a MacOS.

Hello,

Video filters and Studio Effects features requirements

  • macOS
    • Zoom desktop client: Global minimum version or higher
    • macOS 10.13 or higher
    • Supported processors:
      • Apple M1 or higher
      • Intel:
        • 4th generation or higher
        • Instruction set support AVX2 or SSE4.2

Note: The Video Filters and Studio Effects features may not be available for all regions and account types. If you do not see a specific feature, you may not have access to use it.

  3. Click the Background & Effects tab.
  4. Click the Video Filters tab.
  5. Select the desired filter.
  6. (Optional) Select the Apply to all future meetings check box to to set this filter as a default for all meetings you join or host.

Appreciate the reply! I have people running earlier versions of zoom who are in my work group, who join my meeting who can both see and use the effects. I was able to use effects prior to upgrading my zoom. Now that I have upgraded to the latest version when I join the same pre-existing meeting I am no longer able to use the effects.

Was the feature removed in the latest version?

Zoom has been giving me this same non-answer for over a year now:

"The Video Filters and Studio Effects features may not be available for all regions and account types. If you do not see a specific feature, you may not have access to use it."

That doesn't explain why it would appear and then randomly disappear. Zoom is the only software product where I've had this kind of issue (features randomly disappearing without notice or reason).

Me too. I have been trying to figure out where the option went.

I have had this happen twice now: I had access to Zoom Filters, then they suddenly disappeared. I am on the same computer in the same region with the same account type (Zoom Workplace Pro). One day I had the feature, then the next day it was gone. Then a few weeks later it was back, then it disappeared again.

I would appreciate a response from Zoom on this issue.

Same. We have 3 employees with this exact issue, and 17 other employees that it's working fine with. All with the same settings. All logged into their company email. All updated to latest zoom account on most recent OS versions. The 3 users that are effected are in a unique location from the rest of the users though. Is there some sort of location based app cache bugs happening?

Zoom has had this issue for at least 2 years now: this feature (and this feature alone) seems to appear and disappear without any reason. Zoom only offers this pathetic non-answer:

"The Video Filters and Studio Effects features may not be available for all regions and account types. If you do not see a specific feature, you may not have access to use it."
