On April 16, between 2:25 P.M. ET and 4:12 P.M. ET, the domain zoom.us was not available due to a server block by GoDaddy Registry. This block was the result of a communication error between Zoom’s domain registrar, Markmonitor, and GoDaddy Registry, which resulted in GoDaddy Registry mistakenly shutting down zoom.us domain. Zoom, Markmonitor, and GoDaddy worked quickly to identify and remove the block, which restored service to the domain zoom.us. There was no product, security or network failure at Zoom during the outage. GoDaddy and Markmonitor are working together to prevent this from happening again.

NEW 'JOIN AUDIO' POP UP - WHY?

When attempting a basic 1-1 meeting today both of us had the same issue...a new 'JOIN AUDIO' pop up that made no sense and was impossible to resolve. See the attached screenshot. In the end we had to abandon the meeting and use FaceTime instead.

Can anyone help? What are we supposed to do?

Thanks in advance,

Hi @EDDA

Looks like you scheduled the meeting with just phone audio, which means that you cannot use your computer audio and removes that option. To fix this meeting or avoid this issue when scheduling another meeting, make sure the Audio Option is set to either Computer audio or Both:

This article has more information about how to scheduled meetings: https://support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/201362413

Hope that helps and let me know if you have any further questions. Otherwise, make sure to mark the solution as accepted if this information is what you needed.
