Microphone issues

Good afternoon, All.  I am on a 2017 iMac updated to Monterey 12.5.1.  Microphones are the internal mic and a Yeti.  Both pass all audio tests in System Preferences/Sound.   Zoom has permission to access both mics.  When I open a Zoom session, both mics fail the "Test Speaker and Microphone...".  Both pass the testing in "Audio Settings".  This is a pretty new set of problem on this device.  Nothing like this has happened before.

 

Does anybody have any ideas on how to correct this problem?

 

I use Zoom on a Macbook Air with no problem.  Also runs fine on 2 Surface Pro 7 machines running Windows 11.

Very nice bit of work!!  All it needed was a completely fresh install instead of upgrade to the existing one.  Many thanks for the help!  I hope to return the favor someday!
