Logitech Brio FoV/Zoom Resets Mid-Meeting on macOS 15.7.1 — Zoom 6.6.2

Dear Zoom Support Team/Community,

I’m writing to report a persistent issue I’ve been experiencing with my Logitech Brio webcam when using Zoom on macOS 15.7.1 (Sonoma). My Zoom version is 6.6.2 (65462).

During meetings, the field of view (FoV) and zoom settings reset to their default values mid-call, without any input from me. This happens intermittently but consistently enough to be disruptive. I use Logi Tune on my Mac to set and maintain the desired FoV/zoom, and the application remains open throughout the meeting. However, Zoom seems to override these settings unexpectedly, forcing me to manually re-adjust the camera mid-session.

Here are a few relevant details:

  • macOS Version: 15.7.1

  • Zoom Version: 6.6.2 (65462)

  • Camera: Logitech Brio

  • Logitech Software: Logi Tune (Mac) — no other Logitech software installed (e.g., Options+ or G Hub)

  • Issue: FoV/zoom settings revert mid-meeting, seemingly triggered by Zoom rather than macOS or Logi Tune.

I have already:

  • Disabled “HD” and “Adjust for low light” in Zoom’s video settings.

  • Launched Logi Tune before opening Zoom to lock in FoV.

  • Launched Logi Tune while in a Zoom meeting.
  • Ensured no other Logitech software or background agents are running.

  • Verified firmware is up to date.

Despite these steps, the issue persists. From user forums and Reddit discussions, it appears that Zoom may be sending camera control commands mid-meeting that override third-party webcam settings, particularly with Logitech Brio cameras on macOS.

Could your team please investigate whether Zoom is overriding webcam settings during active calls on macOS, and if so, provide guidance on how to prevent Zoom from resetting the FoV/zoom?

Thank you for your attention to this issue. It’s quite disruptive during professional meetings, and I’d love to find a stable solution.

Warm regards,

Simon

Logitech Brio is native to MacOS and no software is required. However, try using Options+ instead of Logi Tune.

I have no issues when using Options+ on a PC with Brio and Zoom.

If this works please click accept as a solution.
