Issues with meetings

I have multiple issues with this zoom app, when I send an invite to the other person by email to join the meeting, it doesn't work. The other person says they cannot join the meeting as the link is not working and I appear inactive to them even though I started the meeting. I always filled in the information beforehand when I scheduled the meetings. It's a v poor app and I'm totally unimpressed with it, not to mention that it's not worth having an online lesson with somebody if you have to pay extra beyond the 40-minute free session. V unprofessional .
