Invitations

Ever since my sister got her new IPad at Christmas, her email invitations are not arriving in our inbox until after the meeting has started.  (We used last week’s link this week.)  She has tried multiple times and then we get multiple invites all at the same time.  It used to be the invitations went out as soon as she scheduled the meeting.  Is this a Zoom issue or an Apple issue?

Hi,
As a quick workaround you could have your sister try copying the meeting link and manually inserting it into an email instead of relying on the app’s send feature.

Has she updated the Zoom app is updated to the latest version?

Also try uninstalling and then reinstalling the Zoom app (it may help clear any cache or other issues)

1. Check iPad Settings (Apple Issue)

Time and Date Settings: Ensure your sister's iPad has the correct time zone and date settings. Go to Settings > General > Date & Time, and enable Set Automatically.

Mail App Configuration: If she’s using the iPad's native Mail app to send the invites:

Verify that the email account used is properly configured.

Test sending a regular email to ensure timely delivery.

Internet Connection: A weak or intermittent connection can delay sending emails. Ensure she's on a stable Wi-Fi or cellular network.

2. Zoom Settings (Zoom Issue)

Zoom App Updates: Ensure the Zoom app on her iPad is updated to the latest version.

Calendar Integration: If Zoom is integrated with a calendar app (e.g., Google or Outlook), check that the calendar is syncing correctly. Go to Settings > Calendar > Accounts on the iPad to verify the linked account.

Invite Settings: Have her double-check the meeting schedule and ensure the invites are being sent immediately. Sometimes, user errors like saving without sending can cause delays.

3. Reinstall Apps

Reinstall the Zoom app to rule out any glitches with the app itself.

Restart the iPad after reinstalling to ensure all processes are refreshed.
