How do I control camera over exposure?

I am way over exposed. I know there are adjustments for low light, but I don't see anything for too much light. How do I lower the exposure, other than turning off all the lights and basically sit in a dark room?

Hi @kentuck! Have you tried using any of the video filters

same issue, video filters don't resolve.. it seems like a pretty basic feature to adjust the video exposure... Also a basic feature missing from mac default system. had to download/BUY an app from the app store called "webcam settings" to resolve this.

2 years later and I'm having the same issue. This wasn't going on before. I've upgraded to the latest version. Still totally overexposed no matter what I try.
