A few weeks ago, I decided to host a virtual dinner party with some close friends. We planned everything—everyone cooked their favorite dish, we set up our cameras at just the right angles, and we even tried to sync our meals to feel like we were in the same room. Everything was going smoothly until… Zoom started acting up.
First, my audio kept cutting out. Then, half the guests couldn’t see my video, and someone’s screen froze right when they were about to show their homemade sushi. It felt like a scene from a comedy movie—except we were all hungry and frustrated.
I couldn’t help but wonder, is there a better way to optimize Zoom for smoother video calls, especially when multiple people are streaming at once? Have any of you faced similar tech hiccups during virtual gatherings? Would love to hear tips on making these online meetups seamless!
