Hi
we are having issue with the new Ubuntu Version and the Zoom Client.
When we are using our headset it does not work. It is working with all other applications and webservices but it does not work with the Zoom Client > tested with the newest one 6.2.6
It was working with the older Versions of Ubuntu, other users form our company are having no issues with older Ubuntu Versions.
Any other users out there who has made the same experiance?
Cheers

Hello,
I have a slightly different problem on Ubuntu 24.04 with Zoom 6.2.10, I am not sure if this might be related but you can try the "workaround".
My headset (logitech H600) is working well and then randomly stops only for the speaker part during meetings.
It seems that in this case the headset speaker is not working anymore in Ubuntu system neither, it is always selected but audio test is not working anymore. I just found that using the Zoom Audio Setting window (and not shortcut in drop list) and switching between "Same as System" <=> "H600 ..." makes it work again even for the whole system (I tested with music playing in another application).
This behavior was only observed with a Zoom meeting running and since I use Ubuntu 24.04 (vs 20.04) with the same headset.
Note that this is a real painful issue for zoom meeting as I can't now the speaker is not working anymore randomly except by absence of any attendee response at some point...

Hello
we also have the problem after updating to the latest version of the Zoom Workplace Client, which unfortunately didn't help.
It currently looks like the problem comes from the OS and we have also published this in other forums to see if there is a solution, I also have a ticket open with Zoom.
Cheers!

My wireless headset, Logitech H800, worked with Zoom on Ubuntu 22.04 but stopped working on Ubuntu 24.04 when used with dongle (not Bluetooth). The following workaround fixed the issue:
sudo apt update && sudo apt install pavucontrol
pavucontrol &
Technical: Ubuntu 24.04 uses the PipeWire server for audio, not PulseAudio used in Ubuntu 22.04. The Zoom client seems to work via the PulseAudio compatibility layer. "pavucontrol" is an interface to PulseAudio mixer. Could this be why it helps? Furthermore, Logitech H800 works via Bluetooth in Ubuntu 24.04 but only as a speaker, no microphone unless you select very low-quality codec.

Hi all
I think I found something...
The same issue is reported and discussed in askUbuntu...it looks like Ubuntu uses Pipewire by default, this is what is causing different problems to solve this you will have to follow the desicribed steps in the Topic...
On our end this has solved the issues we had...let us know if it helps!

Thanks for following up. I appreciate that. The article you linked talks about crackling sound, so a different problem. For me, the Jabra doesn't work at all. And yes, I'm using the Analog Stereo Output + Mono Input profile and also tried out other profiles. I also did follow the steps suggested in the askubuntu article in the past. Unfortunately, it didn't work out. Other programs like Firefox, local audio players and Chromium can use the Jabra speaker successfully.
I've formed the suspicion that the problem is most likely in the pulse audio/pipewire compatibility bridge. But then again, I'm not yet familiar with the pipewire things. I can be totally wrong.
Again, thanks for following up!

Hi
in our cases we had different behaviors, not working audio with USB headset, as well as cracking sounds and...in one of our cases the audio was working but only with the builtin speakers not over USB Headset...and in other programs like FF it was working, but if you already tried the steps described then I can not help you..sry
