I had a problem with my computer awhile back, and ever since, when i try to join a meeting, I get this message. This file does not have an app associated with it for performing this action. Please install an app or, if one is already installed, create an association in Default Apps Settings page. I have gone to Settings - Apps - Default Apps, but have no idea what I'm looking for. I have Windows 10. I guess I need step by step instructions of what to do.

If you encounter the error message “This file does not have an app associated with it for performing this action” while opening Windows 11/10 Settings, some of your system image files might have been corrupted. Hence, running the SFC and DISM scans can help you fix the problem.

Hope this helps,
James
