I have a Chromebook for college and for the last 2 years, anytime I have a class that uses Zoom as the platform for meetings there are constant connectivity issues! I lose connection every 2 minutes and 32 seconds. It drops video and audio for a few seconds then puts me back into the meeting. It doesn't matter if I use the web browser version, the app, or the Chromebook extension. Nothing works! And no, it's not my Wi-Fi connection.
Zoom also disables the camera on my monitor but allows the keyboard camera. All other streaming platforms work perfectly fine. IT'S ZOOM SPECIFICALLY! This issue has been brought up several times through forums and Zoom has not addressed it or released a formal statement about its compatibility with Chromebooks. IS IT COMPATIBLE OR NOT????
