Hello,
Our arts organization recently hosted a public program via zoom and used live transcription and closed captioning. We noticed that many Native American and Indigenous words were completely, wrongly transcribed (I mean off the charts, BAD). How can we prevent this from happening?
Thanks!

Hi
Live transcription feature is currently in English and accuracy depends on many variables, such as but not limited to:
Because of these limitations, if you are required to use speech-to-text support for any compliance or accessibility needs in your meetings and webinars, we recommend using a manual captioner or service that may be able to guarantee a specific accuracy.

Hi,
It would be much better if Zoom were to have a feature allowing for administrators to edit the list of words that were recognized, so Indigenous names/words could be recognized. Both Canada and the US are multicultural places where respect is critical and acceptance of technology has much to do with recognition and getting these words right. Yes, English is and always has been a growing language that incorporates the words of other cultures. I think Zoom can and must do better!
Thanks!
