Changing Host in Recurring meeting - next recurrance I need to be host

I am the host of a recurring fortnightly meeting.

At the end of a meeting, I invariably get asked to transfer hosting to someone else as a subset of the meeting want to have a quick chat without me there. I do this.

The problem is that the next time I try to host the next occurrence of the recurring meeting (click on link in Email meeting request), I get told that I cannot go into the meeting until the host opens the meeting.

How can I transfer control of one meeting to others, without loosing control of all other occurrences of the meeting.
