Can't disable meeting passcode

I can't disable the passcode for meeting(toggle is grayed and shows locked) even though the waiting room is enabled. Isn't it supposed to be one or another? Or did they changed the regulations? (Still showing atleast one of the security measures are required in the security settings).

I am an account owner, and I can't disable it either and it is a serious issue for me. I understand where to go in the zoom settings (account settings) but despite having owner privileges, I'm not able to "unlock" the password toggle switch, the unlock icon is grayed out.

Hello @robinlim! Welcome to the Zoom Community!  If the passcode toggle for your Zoom meeting is grayed out and locked, it means that this setting has been enforced at the account or group level by your Zoom admin. Even though enabling the Waiting Room is generally considered an alternative security measure, your organization may have stricter security policies in place that require both a passcode and a Waiting Room or have locked the passcode requirement regardless of other settings.

Zoom’s security requirements can be set by account owners or admins to ensure compliance with organizational or regulatory standards. The message “at least one of the security measures is required” means you must have either a passcode, Waiting Room, or Only authenticated users can join enabled, but if the toggle is locked, your admin has enforced a specific option.

To change this, you’ll need to contact your Zoom admin or owner to adjust the security settings at the account or group level. If you are the admin, you can go to the Zoom web portal, navigate to Account Settings or Group Settings, and look for the “Lock” icon next to the passcode setting. Unlocking it will allow you to toggle the passcode requirement.
