On April 16, between 2:25 P.M. ET and 4:12 P.M. ET, the domain zoom.us was not available due to a server block by GoDaddy Registry. This block was the result of a communication error between Zoom’s domain registrar, Markmonitor, and GoDaddy Registry, which resulted in GoDaddy Registry mistakenly shutting down zoom.us domain. Zoom, Markmonitor, and GoDaddy worked quickly to identify and remove the block, which restored service to the domain zoom.us. There was no product, security or network failure at Zoom during the outage. GoDaddy and Markmonitor are working together to prevent this from happening again.

Does anyone know if the breakout rooms in Zoom allow the following:

1-set up a maximum of 2 attendees per room and randomly assign attendees to rooms

3-have consecutive timed sessions within one Zoom meeting, with random assignment of attendees for each session

Thank you!

Hello @Pfonseca.

1 - You could accomplish this by creating the number of Break Out Rooms based on your number of attendees, i.e. 10 people = 5 Break Out Rooms

2 - Attendees can be randomly assigned to Break Out Rooms

3 - There is not currently a way to schedule multiple sessions within one Zoom meeting but you can start, stop and restart Break Out Rooms as needed in a single Zoom meeting.

More information about Break Out Rooms can be found here: https://support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/206476313

We hope this information is helpful!

Thank you for choosing Zoom.
