Android App Loads Multiple Sessions, then Crashes

This has happened several times recently.  Current version:  5.13.3.11113 - Android 12

 

When attempting to "Join a Meeting," whether logged in or not. the app starts to work as expected, but as soon as the meeting video appears, the app goes black with the "loading" icon appearing, briefly shows the "Waiting for host" message, then loads the video (again).  After several times of this happening, I see there are multiple iterations of the app open, all attempting to access the same meeting.  It seems to fail right when I join, then it loads a new iteration of the app...and then another...and then another...until the phone crashes.
