Webcam remained active after leaving Zoom meeting

After attending a regular meeting and clicking the "Leave Meeting" red button in the main Zoom window, I noticed that the green webcam indicator on my computer remained on.

I discovered that there was still an open pop-up window displaying only my own video in real time. This pop-up could only be switched off through a "Leave Meeting" button (in white), but there was no audio and no other participants visible, since I had already left the meeting from the main window.

  1. What could have caused that video pop-up to remain active after leaving the meeting?

  2. Was my video still being transmitted to other participants?

hi @hh7 ,

if you chose to leave the meeting then all the windows will have closed. You camera could have stayed alive if other processes were still using it. My Mac will leave the camera active after i leave meetings and then times out after a while.
all the best
