On April 16, between 2:25 P.M. ET and 4:12 P.M. ET, the domain zoom.us was not available due to a server block by GoDaddy Registry. This block was the result of a communication error between Zoom’s domain registrar, Markmonitor, and GoDaddy Registry, which resulted in GoDaddy Registry mistakenly shutting down zoom.us domain. Zoom, Markmonitor, and GoDaddy worked quickly to identify and remove the block, which restored service to the domain zoom.us. There was no product, security or network failure at Zoom during the outage. GoDaddy and Markmonitor are working together to prevent this from happening again.

Webinar chat and making it anonymous

If I ensure that people can only chat with hosts - I assume that no one else on the webinar will see their responses? And assume this is the case if we record the session - I want to protect people's privacy so that they feel safe responding to my questions.

Welcome to the Zoom Community, @MelissaK.

If you use these settings:

... attendees can send chats that are only visible to Hosts and Panelists, and Panelists can only chat to other Hosts and Panelists.  However, Hosts and Co-Hosts can chat to anyone.

I generally don't allow Panelists to send chats directly to the audience, just in case they really meant to only send it to the Hosts and Panelists and forgot to look.

Ray -- check out the GoodClix website or the Z-SPAN website.
