On April 16, between 2:25 P.M. ET and 4:12 P.M. ET, the domain zoom.us was not available due to a server block by GoDaddy Registry. This block was the result of a communication error between Zoom’s domain registrar, Markmonitor, and GoDaddy Registry, which resulted in GoDaddy Registry mistakenly shutting down zoom.us domain. Zoom, Markmonitor, and GoDaddy worked quickly to identify and remove the block, which restored service to the domain zoom.us. There was no product, security or network failure at Zoom during the outage. GoDaddy and Markmonitor are working together to prevent this from happening again.

Multiple Roles

I've been researching the many roles and capabilities that each role has to offer in Zoom. Are you able to assign multiple roles to a single individual?

IE: Could you assign someone as both a panelist and a speaker? I'd like them to be able to share their screen and have controls to turn their camera on and off as a panelist, but also be able to start their session and respond to Q&A as a speaker.

Hello @BreannW - Thanks for reaching out to Zoom Community. Unfortunately, you cannot assign multiple roles to a single user and cannot make a participant "panelist and host" at the same time. Let us know if you have any other question(s).

Hello. Having trouble with the single user/multiple roles issue. Why can't a single user be set up as a speaker and a booth representative or booth point of contact?
