Zoom DT client call cel or analog?

Newbie. When using desktop client to call a cel (non smart phone)  or analog landline phone number I get voice alert;

"Sorry. The requested service is not available in your calling plan."

 

How do I use DT client to call cel or analog numbers?

Can Zoom Phone service receive cel and analog calls?

It sounds as though you have not assigned an Outbound Call Package to your User account. The following page will give you the steps to use on the Zoom web portal:

I would definitely recommend going through the Getting Started with Zoom Phone (admin) and the Quick Start Guides for Zoom phone linked at the top of the following page:

Excellent. Works nice. But how do I configure to have direct number? I cannot start new SMS conversation using  DT client.

Great! Are you using the system just for yourself?

 

You can assign a direct number to your User account on the web portal, user Admin > Phone System Management > Users & Rooms:

Once the number is setup, you should also enable the SMS capabilities at the Company (account) level and the User:

Note, that once the SMS feature is enabled, it usually takes several hours and up to a full day before it is fully functional. From what I understand, the telephone number routing has to be replicated around the world.

Thanks. I had it but it took a while to function. How do I eliminate my extension number and only have direct number?

Great! 

 

The extension is just part of the way that the phone system is designed; you can't remove it. Since it is just you using the account, just ignore it.
