Zoom on iPad for iOS 15 Video Question

We are testing Zoom on iOS for iPad and we've noticed while on a video call the video stops if you multitask and use a different app at the same time. Does anyone know when/if Zoom plans to address this? I know this used to be a limitation of iOS but it now is possible. For example Webex will allow you to do this.

Have you tried out this week’s update?

March 21, 2022 version 5.10.0 for iOS

  • Picture-in-picture mode
When the Zoom app is minimized during an ongoing Meeting or Webinar, users will be able to enter Picture-in-Picture mode, which allows them to still participate in their meeting through video and audio.

I’ve been playing with this new app update on my iPhone and while I’m able to see the other party in a tiny floating PiP window, the other party says that my camera goes off when I’m in a different app (even though I’m still able to see their camera inside the floating window)…

I wonder if Zoom implemented only half of the PiP spec — on iOS 15, they need to make sure they requested this entitlement for their app:
