Voice Control

Hello, I would like to ask,

whether it is possible to join a recurring Zoom meeting entirely by voice. It's about a blind person who can't operate the touchscreen on the iPad.
So it's not about joining a meeting that you have planned yourself, but participating as a listener in a regular event.

Yes, you can use Siri Shortcuts to join a scheduled Zoom Meeting.

Here is a Zoom Support article

Here is a YouTube video

Here are some step-by-step instructions.

Can you use siri/voice commands to end a meeting (as host) or leave a meeting?

I tried creating a shortcut for leave meeting and thought I could use siri to execute it, but it appears siri isn't listening during the zoom call.  Maybe there is an option to turn that on somewhere that I missed??

You are correct that Siri stops listening during a Zoom meeting.

However, you can create a Shortcut that executes the "Leave Meeting" action in the Zoom section.

A touch on the screen can trigger this after you have tapped the Home or Side button to minimize Zoom

To make the Shortcut more memorable on the screen, I suggest creating a widget for this shortcut on the left-most screen

any ideas if the person cannot touch the screen to engage the shortcut??

Can they touch a physical button, e.g., a Flic button?

not that I am aware of.  She uses voice control for most everything or eye gaze for most everything.  When using her microsoft surface, she can use the onscreen keyboard with eye gaze.  But when on her ipad, she doesn't have the eye gaze option.

If she is able to use a Flic button, here is a rather complicated way to launch that Leave Meeting Shortcut using Flic button as a Bluetooth keyboard emulator. https://youtu.be/I8SgVyn1i08?si=e0SyzhA0LF6H7Xa-
