How are end users affected if I globally change the passcode requirement for PMIs?

We are on the verge of turning on and locking the switch which requires all Personal Meetings to have a passcode.  Has anyone documented what this change looks like for anyone who has an active PMI but has never set a passcode? We want to avoid a rush of support calls if people click on their familiar old URLs and are suddenly asked for a passcode.  Does Zoom generate a generic password for those which don't already have one?  We'd like to put together a quick communication plan for it, but don't know what to expect. Thank you.

Welcome to the Zoom Community, @SteveLindell.

If you are sending out links for every meeting, you should be sending the new link which has the Passcode embedded into the Join URL.

If people have the old link and continue to use it, they will see a pop-up message prior to gaining access to the session, and they must manually enter the Passcode at that time in order to proceed.

You can reset the Passcode by editing the meeting information.  If you don't set your own Passcode, Zoom will provide a randomly-generated one.

Thank you much!  Our Zoom rep confirmed the same.  In our communication, I'm going to snap an example picture of the original meeting URLs versus the longer ones with "pwd=" in the middle so people can tell instantly if they're going to have to re-send their PMIs.  Thanks again!
