Cannot use backgrounds, says hardware is not powerful enough

I updated my stepmother's Zoom recently and it's now saying she cannot use backgrounds as the hardware is not powerful enough.  She has an AMD A10-9700, which Windows About PC says has 10 cores.  Is this not powerful enough?  Is there a switch to force Zoom to use backgrounds?  Previously they worked

Further to my query above, if the hardware is not powerful enough, would a discrete video card fix the issue?
