Link to start Chat?

Looking for a quick way to send in email a link to start a Zoom chat. Not a link to start a meeting, those are easy to find, but a link to start a chat.

Thank you for your help!

Hi @EricHaberman

If your account allows it, you can add an external contact under the Contacts tab:

I was looking for a LINK that can be sent in EMAIL. Like that you might include in an email signature.

For Teams that would look like this: https://teams.microsoft.com/l/chat/0/0?users=<youremailaddress>

I don't think so. Someone needs to be a Contact before you can start a Chat.

Even if you trigger the invitation, the link the user receives (by email) is uniquely generated.

Unfortunately, there is no way to generate a generic link to add you as a Zoom contact. I believe there was one at some point earlier in the product, but not sure when and why that was removed.

I encourage you to visit our Zoom Feedback form, which is the official way to share any feedback or feature requests with the Zoom team. Thanks!
