Adding a Co-host

I'm hosting a training for 2 months. I need to add a co-host and when I've tried it tells me I need to pay for an additional license. I really don't want to pay for a full year for someone who is only going to be an alternative host for two months. Is there any way I can purchase a 2 month license for someone?

I can change an active participant to co-host from the participant panel when I host a meeting. It works without that participant having a license. I just can't set them as a co-host in advance of them joining a meeting from the meeting settings.

Alternately I can start a meeting and then change another participant to host, I become a regular participant and can leave the meeting.
