I was concerned that I would have to find another way to give singing lessons to my student who is 9 hours away because she was not able to hear the higher notes on the piano when doing vocal warmups with me and I couldn't hear her sing the high note...

I can not hear my singing students well in certain ranges on the scale when they are doing the vocal exercises. Sometimes I notice there is a difference if they move to a specific spot but I really need to get this handled. Even if they are practical...
