In the new version of Zoom I don't see the "Try new version" button so this problem now seems unavoidable. Does anyone have a solution?This seems like major functionality to leave broken.

I found that unselecting "Try new version" avoids this problem. That is on by default after the upgrade. Hopefully the lack of sticking of the external calendar setting will be fixed before we are forced to use the new version.

It looks like it works if you schedule the event from within Outlook, using "Schedule a meeting" on the Home tab of Outlook, instead of scheduling from within Zoom.
