On April 16, between 2:25 P.M. ET and 4:12 P.M. ET, the domain zoom.us was not available due to a server block by GoDaddy Registry. This block was the result of a communication error between Zoom’s domain registrar, Markmonitor, and GoDaddy Registry, which resulted in GoDaddy Registry mistakenly shutting down zoom.us domain. Zoom, Markmonitor, and GoDaddy worked quickly to identify and remove the block, which restored service to the domain zoom.us. There was no product, security or network failure at Zoom during the outage. GoDaddy and Markmonitor are working together to prevent this from happening again.

When I connect my computer up with an HDMI cord to my TV, I can't get the sound to come through the TV, but only the computer. I do this when watching movies and have no problems, but with Zoom, I can't get the sound to the TV.

Please advise.

  • Sign in to the Zoom desktop client.
  • Click your profile picture, then click Settings .
  • Click the Audio tab.
  • Under Speaker, you can do the following:
    • Test your speaker.
    • Select the speaker you want to use in the drop-down menu.

You do the same once a meeting has been joined or hosted by selecting the "audio settings" then select the speaker.
