audio settings not working

I was going into a meeting and when I connected the audio it closed, I thought it was because I had too many tabs in the background so I closed everything and restarted. When I opened only zoom I could enter but when I hit connect shared audio again it closed, I hit test audio and if I could my headphones worked while it was being tested. So I closed and tried to set the audio to connect automatically and when I went to settings and then audio settings it closed the settings. Could someone please help me.

After the latest update I have the same issue. I cannot join meetings with audio either. Zoom seems to just crash. Restarted computer and uninstalled and reinstalled zoom and the issue still persists.  All other programs have no problem with my audio input or output. Cannot open the audio settings page either it just silently closes.

Same issue here and here

I also have the same problem. I tested all audio settings, and they are working properly. Only Zoom speakers do not work. When I test the speakers, some weak sound comes in, and then the speakers go on mute.

Hello there,

I'm sorry for the late response and inconvenience.

Please perform a clean uninstall and then reinstall the latest version of the app. Additionally, ensure that your audio driver is up to date.

Let us know if this helps or if you need further assistance.

I also have the same problem. All audio drivers are up to date. I've tried disabling hardware devices that were not in use. I've tested audio through Teams, Discord, and Google Meet without issues. This seems to have started recently for me, potentially in relation to Windows Update KB5053598 that was installed on my system about a week ago, which is the same timeframe in which this issue started happening. Rolling that update back is not an option. I have done a clean uninstall of Zoom following the directions you linked in your response. Upon re-installing the latest version of Zoom, the issue persisted.

In the Windows Device Manager, there is no hardware flagged as having any issues.

My audio is all run through a PreSonus Studio 68c. All drivers and firmware are up to date. There is a RealTek Audio driver that is also up to date and working fine, although that is the driver for the audio services on my motherboard. That driver is rarely used on my system. Disabling it doesn't cripple me, but it also makes no difference in regards to this issue. It persists with the RealTek Audio on or off.

It shouldn't matter, but for input I have a Shure SM7b connected via XLR to a CloudLifter pre-amp which is connected via XLR to the PreSonus Studio 68c. For output, I run from the main outs on the Presonus to a set of Logitech desktop speakers with a subwoofer.

If I'm able to upload files, I can provide the cleanzoom.log that was produced by running CleanZoom.exe.

Hello @etaylor_p2

I'm sorry for the inconvenience you experienced.

Our engineers have identified an issue where setting your microphone quality above 96kHz or 48kHz can cause a crash. To resolve this, please adjust the sample rate to 48000Hz under the default format settings. This has been fixed on the version 6.4.0 release. Kindly update to the latest version and let us know if you need further assistance.

I also have the same problem with Realtek Audio, my audio plays perfectly through Windows and any other program, but doesn't play through with Zoom workplace ?? And yes tried all of the options, uninstall / reinstall zoom, tried changing some settings with audio enhancement.

This issue has only started in the last 2 weeks.

This is a ZOOM issue, as I have no other issues with my audio.

Hi @etaylor_p2! i've checked the audio sampling rate, and it's sitting at 48000Hz.

Still no joy with audio my end, having to use an external bluetooth speaker, bit frustrating!
