Zoom running in background W10 & 11

The newest update for Zoom keeps the app running in the background once you leave a meeting.

I *know* that we can go to the windows task icon bar and right click (AGAIN) on the icon and quit zoom.

However this is a hidden and extra task that, if forgotten, causes problems with the several other audio applications that i use on a daily basis.

Is there any reason why zoom can't be setup to exit entirely when we close/exit the session?

You know, like almost all other applications??

Hi, @davo2,

Many Zoom users use Zoom for Chat, Phone, and other uses, and therefore depend on the Zoom client maintaining an active process in the background, and an icon in the task bar.

While it’s unlikely Zoom would make the app always exit, it might be worth submitting a Feature Request to ask for a setting which only launched Zoom when you click the Zoom program icon. Be sure to include your rationale for why you don’t want the Zoom client to remain active.
