Zoom quits unexpectedly/never opens

I have a Mac.  I am trying to start a meeting and zoom quits unexpectedly before ever actually opening.  What is going on?  I have no trouble using zoom on my laptop, also Apple.

As far as I can tell.  I go to the App Store and there are no updates listed

Yes. I have reinstalled and restarted my computer as instructed.  It still quits.  I get message "Zoom quit unexpectedly"  I send report, but of course nothing ever happens.

Hi Bri,

 

I am having the same problem as @ddelambert with my zoom.us application (version 5.13.4) unexpectedly quitting immediately after a fresh installation on my Mac Big Sur (version 11.7.2). Right after installation,  I open the zoom.us application and immediately get a message, "zoom.us quit unexpectedly." My other Apple computers with zoom installed seem to have no problem running.  Can you help me?
