When sharing video as a host, other participants hear audio but I (as host do not)

Playing a video (Media player) and sharing the audio with the share audio option on a zoom call means that the other meeting participants hear the sound but as host I do not. This feels like some overly clever feedback reduction technique (my mic is unmuted and would presumably pick up the audio from the video). Is there a way to fix this as silent videos can feel very strange?
