Unable to remove an old version of Zoom

I have Zoom version 5.17.31859 installed on a number of devices and I cannot remove it nor can I upgrade it

If I try to uninstall it gives me a message about not being able to locate 'installer.msi'

I have tried to locate a compatible file without any luck.

Can anyone advise?

Hi @MichaelCDP, thank you for posting to the Zoom Community!

If Zoom won’t uninstall because of a missing installer.msi, follow these steps:

1. Download and run CleanZoom (updated March 2025).
   Note: Use of the clean uninstaller will completely remove the Zoom desktop client, as well as the Zoom plugin for Outlook. The Outlook add-in, Chrome/Firefox extensions, and Google Workspace add-on are unaffected.
2. Once completed, download Zoom from our Download Center and reinstall.

I have tried running CleanZoom and it does not remove version 5.17.31859 - I am stuck with the software on the systems concerned without a clean path for removal or upgrade.

Any additional assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Pls use the original package to remove:
32-bit MSI: https://zoom.us/client/5.17.7.31859/ZoomInstallerFull.msi
64-bit MSI: https://zoom.us/client/5.17.7.31859/ZoomInstallerFull.msi?archType=x64
