Screen sharing will not work for powerpoint

I was a speaker at a virtual conference.  I had done this many times before.  This time, when I tried to share my screen to show my slides, instead of seeing the slides, I got this message:  "Your screen sharing is paused"  There is no way to share slides, at all.  Resume Share doesn't work; I've gone through all of the security suggestions, and nothing works.

 

Anyone know how to fix this?

This feature is only available if you have a Microsoft 365 subscription. If you are a Microsoft 365 subscriber, make sure you have the latest version of Office. To send your presentation as a copy or a PDF, select Share.
