On April 16, between 2:25 P.M. ET and 4:12 P.M. ET, the domain zoom.us was not available due to a server block by GoDaddy Registry. This block was the result of a communication error between Zoom’s domain registrar, Markmonitor, and GoDaddy Registry, which resulted in GoDaddy Registry mistakenly shutting down zoom.us domain. Zoom, Markmonitor, and GoDaddy worked quickly to identify and remove the block, which restored service to the domain zoom.us. There was no product, security or network failure at Zoom during the outage. GoDaddy and Markmonitor are working together to prevent this from happening again.

Restrict Zoom Client Login on Shared Conference Room Computer

Hello Zoom Community!

We have a handful of conference room computers in our organization that are used to host various meetings via Zoom and other conferencing software.  Users are supposed to schedule meetings for these rooms and use the designated Zoom account configured for each room.

We are finding that users are scheduling meetings with their own Zoom accounts and signing into the Zoom client on conference room computers with this account to conduct the meeting.  They do not log out of the Zoom client afterward.

Aside from this being a behavioral/HR issue, it would be extremely helpful to be able to lock down the Zoom client on these computers so that only a designated account can login to and use the Zoom client.

Looking at: Restricting logins for the Zoom Client – Zoom Support

Restricting the email domain does not work, employees have the same email domain.

Restricting the ability to join meetings does not work, as we want a specific account to always be signed into the Zoom client.

Is there any feature available or in the works that would allow admins to grant specific login to the Zoom client and block every other account?

Thanks!
